Water Resources & Hydraulic Engineering

Israel is today at the forefront of the technology related to intelligent use of water, research and development of innovative applications, water distillation and recycling. The problem of water shortage poses engineering challenges and engineers with training in this field are sorely lacking.

In the framework of the track students study areas related to water delivery and supply systems, dispersion and trace pollutants in water bodies, water treatment, sewage treatment, sewage treatment and recycling for use in agriculture, reservoir systems, efficient use of water resources and development of new water sources.

Study topics include

  • Planning and research of advanced water supply systems
  • Marine structures
  • Wind engineering and climatology
  • Theoretical and applied environmental flow mechanics
  • Hydrology of ground run-off
  • Hydrology of subterranean water
  • Coastal and marine environments
  • Water resource systems
  • Wind engineering and climatology
