The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion is committed to excellence in teaching and interdisciplinary research aimed at providing the knowledge base, innovation and human capital needed to shape an efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation system to support economic growth and quality of life of the citizens.
The Faculty is looking for candidates with an interest in pavement engineering and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Mechanics of paving materials, including constitutive models for characterizing their behavior.
• Experimental laboratory methods to characterize the above materials and calibrate their
models.
• Pavement evaluation and rehabilitation.
• Advanced numerical methods to analyze mechanical behavior of pavements.
