Environmental Engineers Program

The studies of the Environment Engineering are currently one of the most important topics of public interest in Israel and around the world. Environmental Engineers are essential when engaging in development and application of scientific and engineering principles for the protection of the environment, both from natural environmental phenomena and from the phenomena that result directly from human actions. The field of Environmental Engineering deals with the most essential resources for mankind, and the public debate about it has been accelerating in recent years.

Our Aim

The aim of the Environmental Engineering program is to train and prepare professional personnel in the fields of environmental engineering, including scientific, technological, economical and management aspects of the preservation of the environment. This study program is shared with three faculties: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology and Food Engineering. For registration in the Environmental Engineering tract, one should contact the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Program Structure

Environmental Engineering is a 4-year program, including a wide scientific foundation, composed of the following subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science. Following the completion of the science basics, the student studies subjects that are designed to provide him with the elementary basis in all branches of environmental engineering. During this stage, the following subjects are included: basic subjects in flow mechanics, hydrology, chemical engineering methods, treatment of sewage and wastes, soil theory.
